Campaign Makes Significant Progress
Conception leadership is pleased to announce that, with the help of our generous donors, we have met the Mabee Challenge to receive an additional $1 million grant from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation toward the Brothers Living in Unity campaign. With this generous grant, Conception has now secured more than $13.6 million in gifts and pledges toward our $14.5 million goal to fund a new seminary residence hall and fund the monastic retirement endowment.
Having met the challenge by the deadline, Conception has now raised sufficient funds to begin construction of our new seminary residence hall, Good Shepherd Hall, which will begin in the Spring of 2021.
Seminary Residence Hall
We envision a new space that will strengthen the bond of fraternity among our seminarians, a true hallmark of priestly formation at Conception Seminary College. The purpose of this project is to house all seminarians under one roof to strengthen our formation program.
As monks age and no longer can work in our seminary and other ministries, they reside in the Infirmary where their primary apostolate is prayer. The Monastic Retirement Endowment covers the expenses of their care.
